This week blue diner., Blue Vedder + Edvard Mac are stopping by for a show.
Rosa, Jarren, Jack and Tim are blue diner. A shoegaze quartet from the sleepy suburb of Ashgrove, Meanjin/Brisbane. In the relatively short time since their first single, Bearings, blue diner have gone from strength to strength landing multiple editorial playlist adds and sharing stages with the likes of First Beige, Floodlights, The Belair Lip Bombs, Noah Dillon, Platonic Sex and RINSE. The band are set to close out 2024 with an east coast tour off the back of their second sold out hometown headline show. Their newest release Mezzanine is a blistering track that perfectly encapsulates the energy of a blue diner live set. blue diner is recommended for fans of Slowdive, Armlock and DIIV.
The past 2 years have been a steady and blossoming success for alternative rock / shoegaze band, Blue Vedder. After winning a Triple J Unearthed competition in 2022, the band went from small rooms to performing at staple festivals including Spilt Milk and Yours and Owls Festival, playing cities across Australia, and selling out shows in Melbourne. Their forthcoming EP FAREWELL. GOODBYE. will be out November 8.
Of Lion is a deeply personal and introspective glimpse into how Izzy De Leon sees the world. The project captures thoughts and emotions within delicate songwriting and builds out sonically vivid, cinematic worlds that feel like an augmented version of real life. De Leon’s music is reminiscent of modern singer-songwriters like Lizzy McAlpine and Searows but lands somewhere more experimental, among the likes of Chanel Beads and Forma Norte. Of Lion is delicate and formidable, eerie and calm, cold and comforting.
