After lighting up stages across town, rocktastic outfit Rich Webb & The Liars are bringing their electric show to the Northcote Social Club to launch rollocking single Mess of It.
This slinky, roller coaster of a number nears the intersection of rock and alt-country, and messes up in the only way you need to go about it – boldly, with a huge grin on your face and buckets of charm.
You will know these folks already. Rich has been a feature of bands around town for a while and has a bag of solo albums including ‘Le Rayon Vert’, the 2019 Alt-Country album of the year. Alics Gate-Eastley, bass/vocals, is from The Well Oiled Sisters, Jim Carden drums/vocals The Warner Brothers, while guitar ace Matt Dixon a host of bands too many to mention.
Together, they make a roaring rocking mess that’s unforgettable. Come and see what all the fuss is about.
On this fabulous Friday evening bill, they’re joined by another of Melbourne’s great emerging bands, the wonderful Alison Ferrier and the Upshots. Alison Ferrier is a prolific songwriter and talented guitarist, and an active player in Melbourne’s vibrant music scene. In the Upshot’s she’s joined by Ash Davies on drums, Alics Gate-Eastley on bass, and special guest Jeff Lang on guitar.
