This week FINOJET, Ruby Taylor and Michaela Tempers are stopping by for a show.
FINOJET is a dynamic singer/songwriter whose musical journey has been marked by genre-blending innovation and electrifying live performances. Launching his highly anticipated solo career in 2025, FINOJET has captivated audiences around the world with his unique blend of indie and folk. Opening for Hollow Coves in Canada and Xavier Rudd on his Australian and European tours in 2025, he debuted new material from his self-titled album to packed out venues across the globe - sharing his music with thousands of new fans every night. FINOJET’s live shows are immersive and infectiously energetic experiences, filled with multi-instrumental mastery and profound musical versatility that is sure to leave you wanting more.
Ruby Taylor is a Melbourne based singer songwriter hailing from Perth. Her music delivers haunting personal narratives in a beautiful and confronting fashion. Accompanied by her band, Ruby provides a coarse and intimate experience. With her recent and upcoming releases, Ruby is looking to impose a unique angle on the traditional singer songwriter and include many different facets of art in her multi media work.
Michaela Tempers is a writer and musician based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa. She picked up a guitar for the first time at 16 after seeing a black and white video of Joan Baez covering Bob Dylan’s classic ‘It Ain’t Me Babe’. She begged her brother for guitar lessons and taught herself to sing, inspired predominantly by the folk artists of the 60s and 70s. While studying for her master’s in Creative Writing, she began writing a new collection of songs exploring the complexities of womanhood. These songs formed the basis for her forthcoming EP, informed by her early influences as well as more recent loves, Frazey Ford, Laura Marling, and Julia Jacklin. She has opened for Creedence Clearwater Revival, Holly Arrowsmith, Jed Parsons, as well as Australian folk artists Boy & Bear.
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+
Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.
Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.
