Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!
This week Fruit Tones, Rhysics and Girlatones are stopping by for a show.
Hailing from Manchester UK, Fruit Tones are the real deal without any artificial sweetener. We're talking one steam-rolling-mondo-garage thud here, folks! Stomping drums, menacing guitars & vocals that bite.
Rhysics have built a reputation upon their unwavering ability to rock and roll every night of the week and Mondays are no exception. Come and behold a beloved Melbourne band deliver their powerful riffs, fun lyrics and terrible banter!
Girlatones is the songwriting project of Jesse Williams (Leah Senior, Baby Blue, Traffik Island) with a fresh lineup featuring Leah Senior (the folk singer), Jack Robbins (Forever Son, Maxwell Brady Band) & Winter McQuinn (Sunfruits). Girlatones blend classic guitar-pop songwriting sensibilities with a unique sense of humour and energy. The release of 2 EP’s & 2 LP’s between 2017 & 2020 saw the group support international acts such as Wreckless Eric as well as find support from local & international indie labels, Lost & Lonesome (AUS) and Meritorio Records (EU). Ahead of a new LP release, the full-band is back to play some old & new favourites.
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.
Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.
