NSC is turning 20 and we’re throwing one helluva party!
To celebrate two decades, we’re rolling out 20 Gigs for 20 Years — a huge birthday series running through July and August, stacked with some of our all-time favourites.
We're throwing it back to the glory days of the Poison City Weekender — a beloved chapter in NSC history that kicked off in 2015 with unforgettable sets from the likes of Modern Baseball, Iron Chic and The Sidekicks. Fast forward to now, and we’re stoked to be teaming up with our pals at Poison City once again for a birthday blowout that nods to the past and looks to the future.
Local indie music institution Poison City Records is delighted to be teaming up with NSC to help celebrate two decades of this much loved Northcote venue. With many, many memorable NSC shows from the Poison City's family of bands (Harmony, Camp Cope, Swervedriver, Sebadoh, Moody Beaches, Cable Ties, Michael Beach, Jess Ribeiro to name but a few) over the past 20 years, it’s wonderfully fitting to join forces for this special show/ party on SUN AUG 17th. The line up features shoe-gaze-dream-pop darlings FLYYING COLOURS (first headline show in almost 2 years!), synth-post-punk locals SCREENSAVER and fast rising Wollongong duo CHIMERS + more acts TBA!!
Come raise a glass and help us celebrate 20 years of great gigs and good yarns at NSC — we wouldn’t want to do it without you!

Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
