‘Omniversal Hum Presents’ CS + Kreme & Jules Reidy
Northcote Social Club (Northcote, VIC)
Saturday, 18 January 2025 9:00 pm
THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+
Omniversal Hum Presents CS + Kreme and Jules Reidy.
A night of adventurous music for discerning and dedicated ears.
CS + Kreme, the Naarm based but internationally renowned duo, perform a rare hometown show off the back of their brilliant, ecstatically spectral and rhythmically angular album ‘The Butterfly Drinks the Tears of the Tortoise’, released on The Trilogy Tapes. Collagic and at times absurd in their detailed sound design and compositional approach, the duo evokes emotive excursions that are remarkably succinct for exploratory modern music of this kind.
Jules Reidy’s sublime music maps the human experience in glittering constellations of sound. Berlin based, Reidy’s breathtaking recordings and magnetic performances offer a truly futuristic, singular vision of guitar music. Explorations of microtonal mysticism and alternate tunings drawn from transcendental folk and minimalism color Reidy’s playful experiments with smudged pop melodics and sampling. Reidy’s forthcoming album ‘GHOST/SPIRIT’ will be released on Thrill Jockey in 2025.
Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.
Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.
