This week’s lineup is an Aotearoa / New Zealand Takeover in collaboration with Bad Gin Sanctuary, featuring Kerryn Fields, Adam Hattaway and Skyscraper Stan (solo).

Fuelled by reverence, integrity and a deep spiritual connection to the human experience, New Zealand songwriter Kerryn Fields paints timeless musical portraits that do what others rarely can: bring us home to ourselves. With several awards and nominations to her name, Fields’ trademark warmth of character, evident in both life and music, fuels a creative offering that expands well beyond her mastery of guitar, voice and audience. “Folk Singer, Magician, Empress” - Sunburnt Country.

Fresh off the APRA Silver Scrolls stage and Celebrating the release of their latest album 'Hot Variety' Adam Hattaway and his band The Haunters are known for their electric live act. Hot Variety is the seventh full-length release from Adam Hattaway & The Haunters and it might be their most immediate, unfiltered record yet. Following the release of an anthology album that marked a creative turning point for the band, frontman Adam Hattaway unveiled High Horse in 2024. A solo record that signaled a bold shift in style. Produced by acclaimed musician Marlon Williams, High Horse is a dark yet warm, reverb soaked, rainy day collection of loner anthems. Carefully produced vocals, layered acoustic guitars, strings, midi keyboards and drum machines, a contrast from previous electric guitar laden, roisterous albums. High Horse was named one of Rolling Stone Aus/NZ’s Top 50 Albums of 2024 and received widespread praise from critics and broadcasters alike. Henry Wagons (ABC Radio Australia) called it, “One of the most striking albums of the year… the most unusual but welcoming album.”

Skyscraper Stan and his longtime touring band and collaborators the Commission Flats have generated a body of work that has attracted a loyal, and more recently global fanbase drawn to Stan’s easy lyrical style, inventive arrangements and deft genre twists and turns. With the Sydney Morning Herald calling him “a revelation,” his two previous albums including 2015’s Last Year’s Tune and 2019’s Golden Boy, and between them a live solo album in 2017 Live at Some Velvet Morning, shone a light on Stan’s ability to write concise and accessible narratives in a timeless style, suggesting a writer steeped in the traditions of the classics but looking to refresh that sound for the modern era. His global reach has been extended by the songs “I Fell Over” and “Always Thinking of You” and “21st Century Lullaby” featuring in the hit TV show Colin From Accounts. The third Skyscraper Stan and the Commission Flats studio album “Those Were Days” was released in February 2025 through Cheersquad Records, debuting at #1 on the Aria Australian Country chart.
