Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!
This week Santa Ana Rodeo, Tallulah Grace and Meisie are stopping by for a show.
Born in Boulder, CO, Santa Ana Rodeo crafts music that always hits, somewhere between grit and groove, heart and heat. Bringing their music to Australia with the Baseline Regional Tour, this vibrant group promises to electrify audiences and light up stages. Influenced by musical legends like The Backseat Lovers, Gary Clark Jr., and Jimi Hendrix, Santa Ana Rodeo's sound fuses indie rock swagger with bluesy undertones, delivering raw, live energy.
In its original form, poetry and song were thought to be magical incantations, recited in the spring to ensure a good harvest. Tallulah Grace remains in pursuit of this feeling, the tangible fascination with a singer-songwriter who can silence a room, make you hold close to your friends, or be connected to a stranger. Blending folk, pop, and jazz elements, Grace brings a new voice to Melbourne's beloved indie music scene.
Meisie is a lover of small critters, knick-knacks and believes a cold swim can briefly ease existential dread. With folk lyrics and soul influences, her recent debut EP, The Floor is Lava, revolves around climate anxiety, the biodiversity crisis, and the importance of community; with nods to themes of friendship and love along the way.
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
