Kate Bush Celebration (Hounds Of Love 40 Year Anniversary)
One of the most unique and innovative artists of the last fifty years, Kate Bush found fame at 19 years old with her hit single ‘Wuthering Heights’, and in the years since has constantly reinvented her style and challenged genre conventions. To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of ‘Hounds of Love’, get down to the Northcote Social Club on January 31 as a nine-piece band pays tribute to Kate Bush in all her kooky glory! Whether you’re a die-hard Bush devotee or discovered her music through Stranger Things, this is the show for you! The band are pulling out all the stops, playing three huge sets of her biggest hits and deepest cuts. Featuring some of Melbourne’s finest musicians, this is a show not to miss.
Second Hand News is a group of Melbourne musicians whose combined creative experience in the local scene ranges from cabaret and folk to punk, new wave and noise. The band comprises Cat Sanzaro (The Broken Mill), Sean Sully (The Sleep-ins, Matt Bourke and the Delusional Drunks, China Beach, Picked Last For Sport), James Wingard (Worker and Parasite, Godfire), Freya Long (Picked Last For Sport), Chris Thomas-Sievers, and John Abougelis. Joining them to celebrate Hounds of Love is Marlee J. Dalton (Mature Themes, Baby Blue), Lady Fox, Jess Keeffe, and Adyn Young (No Questions).
