Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!

This week Racerage, Hunny Machete and Captain Beep-boop are stopping by for a show. 

Queer, Blak radical rapbrat. Spitting bars, breaking hearts and shattering white fragility. Infusing dark electronic hiphop with defiant punk energy, Racerage collabs with other BIPOC, queer and trans artists to create frosty political protest rap. Prepare for hiphop as truthtelling: real, raw and clawed from their core.

You might be familiar with Hunny Machete as a singer of sad songs but she’s done with that now. Inspired by the high-dopamine slut bangers of Kim Petras and Ashnikko et al, while also called to speak to the political struggles affecting our communities, she takes the genre beyond the lyrical domain of ‘I’m hot and I like to fuck’ to ‘I’m hot and I like to fuck and I hate cops’. We’re all angry, we’re all tired, we’re all sad, but let’s have a dance about it.

Captain Beep-boop plays queer electronic punk music on a DIY modified Testra "Bluephone" payphone synthesiser.
