Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!
This week Milkpunch, Laura and the Hell Cutz and Violet are stopping by for a show.
Milkpunch are a Melbourne-based band blending garage rock with glossy synths and sharp pop hooks. Inspired by The Beatles’ White Album eclecticism, Sex Bob-Omb's fun energy, and The Voidz’ experimentalism, their debut album MILKPUNCH delivers 11 bold, stylistically diverse tracks written and produced entirely by frontman Raf Lima. Praised by The Music Network and Triple J Unearthed, the band are fast building a reputation for their raw, infectious live energy across Australia.
Laura and the Hell Cutz is a four-piece ‘Rage Girl Grunge’ band from Naarm (Melbourne). Their music is a visceral exploration of understanding the world around them in the spirit of punk rock. The band invites audiences into the haunting realm of their grit, and creates a space where they blur the line between chaos and catharsis.
Violet are a three piece Melbourne alternative rock band. Originally forming in Geelong, the band put out their debut EP in 2025, and have just come back to Melbourne from their first Australian tour. Violet's mesmerising guitarwork, heavy basslines and tight grooves blend together, pulling inspiration from artists like Nothing But Thieves, Jeff Buckley and Queens of the Stone Age.
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+
Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.
Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.
