NSC is turning 20 and we’re throwing one helluva party!
To celebrate two decades, we’re rolling out 20 Gigs for 20 Years — a huge birthday series running through July and August, stacked with some of our all-time favourites.
Darren Hanlon has been a staple of the NSC stage since day one. He kicked off his NSC journey in 2005 with his very first Xmas show, and now, 20 shows later, we’re thrilled to have him back for this milestone performance. Known for his heartfelt storytelling, charming stage presence and timeless tunes, Darren’s special connection to NSC makes this one a celebration we’ve been looking forward to.
Darren Hanlon is known for his idiosyncratic narrative songwriting and storytelling. His songs hone in on the politics of love and relationships, smaller personal issues and objects of less consequence. He has released six studio albums and toured extensively throughout the world, carving out a scattershot career on his own terms.

Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
