Rising Melbourne based indie folk artist singer-songwriter Rod Coote is playing a one-off band show at Northcote Social Club on 31st July to celebrate the recent release of his new EP 'Half Moon Bay' produced by award-winning producer Hayden Calnin (Dean Lewis, Harrison Storm). Bringing a breath of fresh air to the indie folk scene in Australia, Rod's sincere and soothing music has independently accumulated over 7 million streams globally and this past year alone, led him to support Ziggy Alberts, The Dreggs, Kim Churchill, Steph Strings & Winterbourne. Rod will be joined by special guests and a cosy folk style band for this special one-off show in Melbourne.

2024 saw the indie folk troubadour touring his first ever headline shows across Australia, Europe, United Kingdom. He sold out his first headline show in Melbourne and played his first overseas festival in The Netherlands alongside Australian acts Felipe Baldomir & Gaudion. He also released his third EP 'The Leap' produced by platinum-award winning producer/artist Garrett Kato (Ziggy Alberts, Jack Botts) & the title track with Boy & Bear band member Tim Hart. This EP received airplay on Triple J and gained the support of Spotify & Apple Music editorial playlists.

Rod has just wrapped up his second headline shows across Australia and is set to tour Europe & United Kingdom in August, playing on the 'Between The Trees' Festival line up alongside Australian-German Duo Amistat in England. This one-off Melbourne show at Northcote Social Club will be the last chance to see the rising newcomer before his overseas tour across Europe.
