Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!

This week Harvey Pink's Flying Bathhouse, Field Maps and McKimmie are stopping by for a show.

Naarm/Melbourne-based baroque-pop project Harvey Pink’s Flying Bathhouse are celebrating the release of their latest double single, Cultured Boy | Cork in Your Eyes, by taking to the stage as part of Social Sanctuary. In this release, Harvey Pink drifts into space-rock territory, swapping intimate piano-led moments for 90s-fuzz guitar tones, whirring synths and sprawling delay. The two tracks balance a cosmic scale with Harvey’s emotionally charged pop instincts, pairing surreal textures with sophisticated songwriting. Nudging at the edges of Harvey’s sound, expansive, slightly unhinged, and glowing iridescently.

It’s been some time since Field Maps has done much of anything in the public eye. The recording project of Melbourne musician Daniel Moss released a series of singles around the turn of the decade, before slowly dissipating as other projects and pursuits demanded time. Since then, Moss has remained a member of long-running project, Sunbeam Sound Machine while gradually writing, and often discarding, music of his own. Despite the long stretch of quiet, Field Maps returns in 2026 with a slew of new material. Equal parts pastoral nostalgia and hypnotic introspection, a debut album awaits in the later part of the year.

McKimmie play bedroomy music. Inspirations for the band include action movies, diss tracks, feeling a bit off, feeling aweseome, etc.

Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
