Rolling Stone's 'King of Sad Songs', Florida artist, producer and songwriter vaultboy, has announced his first ever Australian tour, kicking off this June. Tickets on sale next Tuesday February 20 via Destroy All Lines.
Fresh off the back of a multi-city European tour in May, vaultboy will extend his journey to Australia, debuting his own brand of sad at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on June 6, Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on June 8 and The Brightside in Brisbane on June 9.
Inspired by the likes of Alexander 23, Lauv and Blackbear, vaultboy is a creative driven by conversational lyricism and the human condition. Since his debut single release in May 2021, “everything sucks” has garnered over 250 million streams across all platforms, over 700k Shazams worldwide, and hit and held the Spotify Global Viral Chart #1 spot for two weeks, as well as hitting #1 on QQ music’s western chart in China.
vaultboy was named SiriusXM’s Hits 1 ‘One To Watch’ and crowned as the afformentioned ‘King of Sad Songs’ by Rolling Stone. His second EP was released in August 2023, and a steady stream of new music has since been unveiled leading towards his debut album.
The new year welcomed a brand new single from the online superstar, "where tf have you been?", releasing late January and already clocking hundreds of thousands of digital streams. vaultboy's music has resonated with fans across the globe as he sits at nearly 3.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and close to 2 million TikTok followers.
vaultboy has toured with New Hope Club, Nightly, and headlined his own North American shows last February. 2024 sees vaultboy cross the ocean, sharing his meaningful music with new faces all over the world.
