Kick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!

This week Ricky Albeck, Human Noise and Silver Ponies are stopping by for a show.

Ricky Albeck is a musician from Tarntanya (Adelaide, South Australia). His music can be described as Post Pub Rock. Ricky’s often funny, sometimes poetic, mostly sincere songwriting is often joined by the rock band “the Belair Line Band”. The full band experience can invoke memories of Neil Young or Bob Dylan or Songs Ohia. Soaring electric guitars, drums, bass - that sorta stuff.

Human Noise are an alt rock band that most of the time write songs about being annoyed at people on the train. Drawing influence from punk, prog and Lou Reed, their music is agitated and melodic and good.

Silver Ponies formed in Melbourne in early 2026, taking their name from Lynd Ward’s wordless novel The Silver Pony a book about imagination and solitude. Guitarist, pianist and songwriter Josef Milan started the band after moving to Melbourne and shifting his focus toward lyrics and the piano — a departure from his previous work, and the beginning of something looser. The songs are about love and loss, the specific weight of your twenties, the moment teenage restlessness gives way to jobs and responsibility. Nobody locks anything in. The music is collaborative, built from Milan’s sketches outward — driven by feel rather than formula. Reference points: Cass McCombs, Wilco, Andy Shauf, Neil Young. Silver Ponies made their live debut supporting Belair Lip Bombs at the Corner Hotel.

Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
