FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Maiden uniteD Announces Australian Tour – April/May 2027
International acoustic project Maiden uniteD will make their debut to Australia in April and May 2027, bringing its acclaimed reimagined interpretations of Iron Maiden classics to audiences across the country.
Born from a one-off performance commissioned by the Dutch Iron Maiden fan club, Maiden uniteD has grown into a globally recognised collaborative project led by Joey Bruers. The project brings together musicians from a wide range of backgrounds to reinterpret classic heavy metal songs in acoustic form, offering a fresh and unexpected perspective on iconic material.
A key member of the current lineup is original Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton, whose presence provides a direct connection to the earliest era of Iron Maiden.
Stratton performed on Iron Maiden’s self-titled debut album Iron Maiden (1980), a landmark release in the development of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Following his time with Iron Maiden, he went on to perform with bands including Lionheart and Praying Mantis, as well as a range of other rock and live projects throughout his career.
In addition to performing with Maiden uniteD, Stratton will take part in a special audience Q&A session during the Australian tour, sharing stories from his time touring with Iron Maiden in 1979 and the early 1980s. These sessions will offer fans a rare, first-hand insight into the formative years of one of heavy metal’s most influential bands.
Across five studio albums, multiple live recordings, and extensive international touring across Europe, Asia, South America, and Japan, Maiden uniteD has built a strong global following. More than 40 musicians have contributed to the project on stage and in the studio, reflecting its collaborative and evolving nature.
In 2025, the band celebrated its 15th anniversary with the European tour “15 Trooper Salutes.” In 2026, the release of 1980 marked a defining moment in the project’s artistic evolution, followed by a landmark performance at EDDFEST at Knebworth in the United Kingdom for Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary celebrations, at the personal invitation of Iron Maiden. The same year also saw successful tours across South America and Japan.
With Australia confirmed for 2027, Maiden uniteD continues its global expansion.
