This week Exiles, Arabella and the Heist and D.C. Maxwell are stopping by for a show.
Emerging from Melbourne’s thriving music scene, EXILES quickly became known for their explosive performances. EXILES fuse post-punk grit with rock 'n' roll swagger, somehow capturing the electric energy of their live shows into every track. Their sound is raw, urgent, and alive—sharp rhythms, brooding basslines, and jagged guitars that hit hard and never let go. In a bold move to bring that live energy to the studio, EXILES teamed up with renowned producer Alex Markwell (The Delta Riggs, Mark Ronson). Over four intense days of recording, they captured the raw, spontaneous power of their sound—bridging the gap between studio polish and the chaos of their high-voltage live shows. Their debut album is a fierce blend of influences—from The Strokes’ garage rock revival to Viagra Boys ’s post-punk abrasiveness. Their debut album isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s an invitation to experience their explosive live energy, wherever you are.
Powerful, fierce and electrifying Arabella and The Heist are a three piece femme-punk band. Forming in 2019 in Melbourne, Australia, the outfit has taken their cues from rock icons, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Dead Weather and The Pretenders stirred in with a fast hit of punk seduction.
D. C. Maxwell is a Melbourne based singer-songwriter. Formerly the teenage frontman of the high-octane punk band, Maxwell has grown up to become an enigmatic songwriter and a fiery performer. With the frenetic energy of a punk preacher, Maxwell’s live show sees him physically embody each of his songs with intense passion. A troubadour, a magnetic performer, but foremost a storyteller, the mosaic of his music creates a world of love and loss in roadside motel rooms and the inner lives of small-town dreamers. Called “indisputably one of New Zealand's hottest rising talents” by Under the Radar magazine, he has played sold-out shows across Australasia, and opened for Future Islands and Alex Cameron. His debut album Lone Rider was released in 2023 via Danger Collective Records (US), and received widespread acclaim. “A remarkably assured debut, coolly stylish and lightly alluring. Maxwell confidently strides into the spotlight.” - Rolling Stone AU
